Mulled Cranberry Cocktail

Makes: 5 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cranberry juice, chilled, divided
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 strips orange zest
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cloves
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup rum
  • ¼ teaspoon orange bitters, optional

Preparation:

  1. Combine 2 cups cranberry juice, sugar, zest, cinnamon, and cloves in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Let stand about 30 minutes.
  3. Strain into a pitcher& stir in vanilla, rum, bitters (if using) and remaining 2 cups cranberry juice. Divide among 5 ice-filled glasses.

Classic Frozen Margarita

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup triple sec
  • ¾ cup lime juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup agave nectar
  • 2/3 cup tequila

Preparation:

  1. Combine triple sec, lime juice, water, orange juice, and agave in a pitcher.
  2. Pour into an ice cube tray freeze until just firm. Transfer ice cubes and tequila to a blender, blend until smooth. Divide among 5 glasses.

Mint Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1/3 cup agave nectar
  • ¾ cup white rum
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup sparkling water

Preparation:

  1. Combine mint, agave, rum, and ice cubes in pitcher.
  2. Mash mint leaves, rum and agave together, stir in lime juice and water. Serve.

  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle Cava or other sparkling wine, chilled

Preparation:

  1. Divide peach nectar among glasses 6, top with Cava.
  2. Serve immediately.
